Is It The End?

Now that I've posted some of the 2012 end up of the world predictions, I'd like to post a little bit about those theories and more debunked. I read an article on the National Geographic website that had a list of some of the myths I have already covered and a little more I have never heard of before. They're in quite a bit of detail (and convincing as well). I just thought it would be a nice twist on what I've posted before. I'll post the link at the bottom of the page and give a little info on what sort of content is on the site. Maya Predicted End of World?: Basically, instead of December 21, 2012 being a "doomsday" sort of disaster, it is just the cycle too a whole new year on the Mayan calender. It's somewhat equivalent to New Year's Day type of holiday. Planet X collision course?: This is one I've never heard of before. It's about as simple as its title though. Some believe that a planet named Nibiru is going to either hit, or come close to Earth. NASA scientists say there is virtually no chance of this happening because an object like that should of been spotted by this point. Solar Storms Savage Earth?: Another I've never heard of before, some say that the Sun will produce solar flares that will be hot enough to fry the Earth. This theory is debunked by another NASA astronomer who tracks the Sun's movements each year. He says every 11 years their is a cycle for the Sun to produce minor solar flares but nothing strong enough to destroy the Earth. Plus, that peaking cycle isn't supposed to be around for 2 more years. Check it out!: http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/11/091106-2012-end-of-world-myths.html

The next theory I will bring up is the idea that the north and south poles will be flipped and a possible reversal of the Earths rotation. Pole shifts are cyclic occurrences on the Earth and the cycles are natural. This is something that happens to the Earth naturally through cosmic cycles that happen like clockwork when looked at from the perspective of outer events. In some ancient scripts the Earth cycles through these polar shifts about every 26,000 years. In Hindu texts these cycles are called Yugas. Even the Bible says in Isaiah 24:1, "Behold, the Lord makes the earth empty, and makes it waste, and turns it upside down." This quote is quite a scary thought, although misinterpretations of the Bible happen all the time. Scientific proof and evidence shows that there have been pole reversals before on Earth as well, although I couldn't really find anything very concrete. Although, I did read that NASA has verified that there is now positive magnetism energy appearing in the south pole, which is normally supposed to be in the north pole only. I guess we'll all have to wait and see! Stay tuned.

Planet Alignment

According to the European Gregorian work schedule the earth is going to come to an end, or be altered in the year 2012. The date may be December 21st 2012 @ 11:11. In winter solstice the planets will align in an uncommon arrangement which has taken hundreds of years to come about. Most people ask, well how and why is this going to affect us? The most common fear is that the gravitational pull of the other planets are going to all act collectively and also cause such a substantial pull on the Earth that earthquakes result. The pull would be increased on one edge more than the other, offered that there are even more globes additionally out than there are between us and the Sun. Another fear is that the gravity will affect the tides in a way nobody has seen before. Since this has never happened in our recorded history, nobody knows for sure what the outcome is going to produce. I guess we'll all have to see... What do you think?

Uh Oh, it's 2012

So, here is my first post on any sort of blogging website I have ever used. I didn't exactly know what to make it about so the obvious solution was to make a blog relating to anything that comes to mind. And because I've been watching History Channel on TV all day because its my day-off, my first topic will be the theories of 2012. Though I may not be a total believer to the end of the world on Dec. 21st 2012, it is nonetheless an interesting topic. There are many different theories as to what is going to happen at the end of this year, and I wanted to know the thoughts of anyone who reads this blog.
